The Progressive Runway Project
In a fashion show with all the clothing made of recycled goods, 22 models will travel through various consumer locales in the city and present a stunning display of haute couture design with found-object accessibility. On Saturday afternoon, this staged performance will transform the Providence Place Mall* into a live runway.
Others will photograph/ video record the event for as long as it is allowed to take place. By creating an unusual situation, the performers will engage the mall patrons, forcing them to view this consumer environment in a new way.
* It should be noted that Providence Place Mall has not given approval for this event to take place.

Artists
Joan M. Wyand works collaboratively to promote change in our society's patterns of consumption. Using the arts of performance, installation, and exploration, she hopes to evoke awareness from each viewer about their physical environment and its impact on our community.
Kerry E. Adams uses her own past and present as a guide in the investigation of environments. Her ideas and visual vocabulary are also influenced by abandoned, dilapidated buildings which have their own unspoken histories, and in which the man-made and natural worlds begin to resume balance.
Contact
Currently, Jaon and Kerry are still open for more designers, models, and documentors/ cheerleaders. If you interested in filling any of these roles, please email Joan at [email protected].
